The Thirsty Puppy and the Leather Shoe
Once on a hot sunny day, a traveler in the desert saw a poor little puppy panting with thirst by a deep well. The man had no bucket, so he climbed down the dark well, filled his leather shoe with fresh cold water, held it tightly in his teeth as he climbed back up, and gave the thirsty puppy a drink! Allah loved this kind deed so much that He smiled upon the man and forgave all his sins.
The Prophet ﷺ and the Little Nestling
While traveling, some companions saw a nest with two cute baby birds and gently picked them up to look. The mother bird flew down, fluttering her wings in distress. When Prophet Muhammad ﷺ saw this, he asked with deep gentleness: 'Who has caused grief to this mother by taking her children? Return her babies to her nest right away!' The companions put them back safely, and the mother bird nestled happily with her chicks.
The Little Boy and the Honest Date
A boy named Zaid was helping his grandfather pack dates to sell at the market. One box had dates that got bruised in the rain. Zaid wanted to hide them at the bottom so people wouldn't see, but his grandfather gently held his hand and said: 'The Prophet ﷺ taught us: Whoever deceives others is not one of us.' They placed the bruised dates on top at half price, and customer after customer praised their honesty and bought everything!

"All praise is for Allah Who gave us life after causing us to sleep, and to Him is our return."
